A slatted base provides flexible support, allowing a little give to any mattress and will be sufficient in most situations.
A firm wooden frame base made with peg board base to allow air flow to the mattress. With a firm top this makes any mattress feel firmer.
This is a sprung base with wood sides. This will give a slightly softer feel to a mattress but retain a firm edge and support down the sides of your bed.
This base has springs from edge to edge (no wooden edge). This will give a slightly softer feel to a mattress - especially around the outside.
This top-of-the-range base is manufactured with pocket sprung springs (individual springs contained in a nested cloth pocket).
